Costa Rica Sports – After a great showing against Jamaica Costa Rica has jumped up in the world rankings.
Despite their up-and-down World Cup qualifying games against Guatemala, the US national team moved up one spot in FIFA’s latest world rankings.
The Americans are tied with the Czech Republic at No. 29 in April’s edition of the rankings, which was released Thursday.
CONCACAF rivals Costa Rica made the biggest jump, moving up eight spots to land at No. 25 overall following a 3-0 rout of Jamaica. Mexico moved from No. 22 to No. 16 after a pair of wins over Canada, who fell eight spots to No. 95.
At the top of the rankings, Argentina ended Belgium’s five-month reign at No. 1, moving past them to take over top
